The first ever kite foil race organized in San Francisco was a great success and attracted North American and international specialist from Europe. The racers offered a great show for spectators following in live streaming showing the outstanding performances of the modern foils.
The ASV racers did extremely well considering the limited time they have spent on this completely new technology. Most impressive was Adam Koch who finished 5th after training for just a bit more than a week. Joey Pasquali had some great 2nd and 3rd finishes but suffered the 2 DNS he scored by missing the first day of racing. Unfortunately this pushed him back to 8th place. There was a solid 10th place finish for Adam Withington at his very first race on a foil.
